TRIATHALON | “BUTTER”

Shmody was approached by longtime friend and director Clayton McCracken to help make a music video for the indie dream-pop phenoms Triathalon. We were tasked with animating the 3D portions of the video—taking 3D avatars of the band, making them dance atop New York skyscrapers, twisting them around one another as they ascend into the digital ether. These components were then taken and processed alongside green screen footage of the band, using an array of digital and analogue techniques to create a piece that melted the mind like “Butter.”
