Luke Halls Studio brought on Shmody to help design IMAG FX for Lenny Kravitz’s performance at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards. We were assigned two songs. For “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” a punchy rock anthem, we glitched and contorted Kravitz, complementing the song’s raw energy. For “Let Love Rule,” a ballad with aesthetic nods to The Beatles, we took a more delicate approach, building a glassy zootrope that repeated and warped the performers across the expansive LED canvas.
