Extending Reality is a case study in mixed reality compositing techniques for film and broadcast. This project demonstrates a truly generative workflow, with 100% of graphic video content, titles included, being generated and composited in-camera. Using a combination of cutting edge tracking technologies (Stype, BlackTrax, Notch, disguise) the All of it Now team and Shmody were able to forge ahead into new territories of filmmaking, all-the-while while preserving the collaborative spontaneity that made us fall in love with filmmaking in the first place.
