DADDY YANKEE | LA META
Stage Visuals & IMAG FX

In preparation for La Meta, Daddy Yankee’s career-spanning farewell show in San Juan, Puerto Rico, FragmentNine brought on Shmody to help produce stage visuals and IMAG FX for the massive LED canvas.

For the rendered portions, we animated visuals of mystical dancers, colorful vignettes, and graphic tapestries pulsing to the music. Shmody also worked with the video team on several interstitial videos centered around Daddy Yankee’s iconic sunglasses, signifying different eras in the reggaeton legend’s career.

For the IMAG FX, we used Notch to embellish the performers in flames, sweeping particle fields, ethereal trails, and lavish gold plate. Paired with giant inflatables, a life-size drag race with model lamborghinis, numerous special guests, and Daddy Yankee’s rapturous team of dancers, we brought down the house.
