Working alongside FragmentNine’s team of insanely talented animators and designers, Shmody was commissioned to create two pieces of immersive video for Alt-J’s 2022 world tour. Each visual was carefully animated to the music and then rendered for projection on a translucent scrim cube and LED backdrop. For “Every Other Freckle,” Shmody created a smattering of smoke, skin and fur simulations; for “Taro,” a painterly Sumi landscape consumed by flames.
